This red's lively acidity adds nice energy, running underneath a core of black cherry and blood orange that is backed in turn by a potpourri accent on the finish. Nicely done for the vintage.

Fresh Asian pear, white peach, acacia honey and lemon aromas. It’s bright, dry and medium-bodied with floral and mineral elements. Minerally and pristine finish. Always has 30% grand cru fruit. Drink now.

Now well matured, this Port has depth and a good balance between a dry core and sweet dried fruits. The wine is ready to drink but will also age at least until 2028.

“Located in the World Heritage Site of Foz Côa, this vineyard makes impressively structured wines and Ports. This new release is still intensely young, full of black fruits with richness from foot treading during fermentation. Drink this powerful wine from 2027.”

The 2019 Marqués de Murrieta is 93 Tempranillo, 5% Mazuelo and 2% Garnacha Tinta, sourced from Pago La Capellanía in the Ygay estate, Rioja Alta. Aged for 24 months in American oak barrels, this garnet wine offers notes of sour cherry, balsamic and dried flowers, along with a lactic-vanilla-cedar layer. On the palate, it is dry, mild and lean, with a juicy flow and fine-grained tannins that culminate in a long-lasting finish. The 2019 vintage represents a harmonious blend of traditional oak-vanilla influences and the emerging fruit-forward trend.
